This week began the 50 days of celebrating turning 50. I always honor my birthday by doing something celebratory for as many days as I am old. It is in recognition that this life needs all the excuses possible to acknowledge happy events. It also suits me to do something small everyday over a long time. I like how it allows me to savor small things, appreciate all the good in my life, incorporate new things, and take back the joy of my birthday from past events.

No celebration should start without beloved friends, and I was so lucky that Andrew, Kathryn, and Niko had plans that brought them to Denver this week! We were able to attend an amazing concert, eat wonderful food, and explore the murals of this fabulous city. My heart.
